The Opportunity:

As an Intern, you will work closely with experienced security professionals to assist in identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in our clients’ systems. You will be assigned to a specific project where you’ll be responsible for assisting with penetration testing tasks, developing security tools, and providing actionable reports. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are eager to expand their knowledge of cybersecurity and penetration testing techniques while working on real-world projects.

The Role:

• Observe & assist in performing network, web application, and infrastructure penetration tests under the guidance of senior team members.
• Be assigned to a specific internal project, working closely with the project team to meet deadlines and objectives.
• Observe & assist in vulnerability assessments and provide detailed reports on findings related to your assigned project.
• Help with the exploitation of security weaknesses in various systems, including servers, web applications, and networks.
• Assist in the development of custom security tools and scripts to automate testing processes.
• Participate in the analysis of security issues and provide recommendations for remediation.
• Collaborate with the team to help improve penetration testing methodologies and reporting.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in penetration testing and cybersecurity.
• Assist in preparing security documentation and client reports for your assigned project.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a similar field.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, operating systems (Linux/Windows), and web technologies.
• Familiarity with common penetration testing tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, Wireshark).
• Understanding of common security vulnerabilities (e.g., SQL injection, cross-site scripting, privilege escalation).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn and a passion for cybersecurity.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.

Preferred qualifications:

• Affinity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).
• Knowledge or familiarity of ethical hacking practices and penetration testing frameworks.
• Participation in Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions or similar cybersecurity challenges.
• Relevant certifications.
